Las Vegas Local Bar Four Kegs

I may be partial to this place because I have been coming here for several years and I appreciate the old places I used to hang out that are still around. Call it nostalgic favoritism if you like, but the fact is the public agrees with me. If you ask anyone in Las Vegas about four kegs, the first thing you will hear is them brag about the food. The food is good, really good. Its not pretentious, they don’t spend a lot of time and effort into presentation but I guess after 40 years  you can do whatever you want. Yes, you heard that correct this place has been open for 40 years.

Apparently the food network also thinks this is a great place because they are currently, as of the writing of this article, filming an episode of Guy Fieri’s new show on the food network.
The pros of this place are the staff, the food and the location. The only CONS, I can come up with is the decor. They really haven’t spent very much money in upgrades. The tables, booths, flooring paint etc could be brought into this century, but who knows, maybe that’s why many of the regular customers come back. But I really don’t think anyone would complain about a few small upgrades, old fixtures and materials begin to smell after 20 years or so regardless of how often you clean them. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a dive bar, everything is very clean and well kept, just dated, that’s all.

So if you ever catch yourself on the 95 exit at Jones Blvd and get yourself a great meal, cold beer and enjoy one of Las Vegas’s true gems from the old days, you will be glad you did.
