Big Dogs Draft House – Las Vegas
This place is always busy so they must be doing something right. Big Dogs Draft House Las Vegas has been a cornerstone brew pub in the valley for several years, and the las vegas locals keep on coming so obviously what they are doing works.

I think that the location works well since there are a lot of houses but not a lot of competing bars in the area, and the people have been coming here for years.. The building is very spacious, with a huge bar area, plenty of tables and seats at the bar, so even when it is really crowded you can find a spot. Then also the dining room is very large and provides a lot of seating there as well.
Apparently the locals in Las Vegas like having a brewery since this place sells a lot of their own beer. Here is a picture of the beer list, and they also have a “guest taps” section which is cool for those craft beer aficionados that cant find something they like made on premises.
This place is an actual brewery, so they make beer on the premises and sell a lot of it. They seem to do a pretty good job promoting it on Instagram and so forth.
A few negatives, the dining room has a funky mildew smell, that I have noticed on my last 2 or 3 visits, but the building and decor is old, doesn’t look like it has been updated in quite some time. The booths were re-upholstered awhile ago, but the remodel made them very uncomfortable to sit in for longer than 30 minutes. The food, in my opinion is mediocre at best. While I like the menu items such as bratwurst and grandmas pot roast, they are just sort of bland. I do recommend the Wall-eye though with the pecan crust if you like fresh water fish, walleye is the best there is, and they do it pretty well.
I believe the owner is from the north Midwest which would explain the wall-eye on the menu and the fact that the bar is a packers bar. You can find more about the owner on their website, he has been a staple of the community for several years.
If you are in the area, I recommend you try the place out and especially the house made beers, they are really good, they obviously take it very serious and make a great beer.
